This page sets out the General Rental Conditions applicable to all reservations made on AnasCars.com.
1. Rental Conditions
To rent a vehicle from AnasCars, the main driver must:
Be at least 21 years old.
Have a valid driver's license for at least 1 year.
Please present a valid passport or identity card.
Present an original driver's license.
Provide a bank card or a deposit depending on the vehicle category.
All bookings imply full acceptance of these conditions.
2. Rental period
A rental day corresponds to 24 hours from the time the vehicle is delivered.
Any day that has begun is due in full.
Any extension must be requested before the end of the contract and accepted by AnasCars.
3. Payment
Payment can be made:
In cash
By bank card
By bank transfer
Online (when the service is available)
The total rental amount must be paid before the vehicle is handed over.
4. Security Deposit
A deposit is required depending on the vehicle category.
It is returned after inspection of the vehicle and in the absence of damage or additional costs.
5. Insurance
All vehicles are covered by civil liability insurance in accordance with Moroccan legislation.
The tenant remains responsible:
damage caused under the chassis
tires,
rims,
windows,
headlights,
internal damage,
lost accessories.
In the event of an accident, the customer must provide a report or official statement drawn up by the competent authorities.
6. Franchise
At AnasCars, the deductible is set at 10% of the vehicle's value, in accordance with the signed contract.
This policy guarantees complete transparency with no hidden fees.
7. Vehicle Use
The vehicle cannot be used for:
paid passenger transport
motor racing,
rallies,
sports trials,
towing,
driving schools,
off-road driving
exceeding the permitted number of passengers,
any illegal activity.
The driver agrees to comply with the Moroccan Highway Code.
8. Mechanical Maintenance
Normal maintenance remains the responsibility of AnasCars.
Any breakdown resulting from misuse or negligence will be charged to the tenant.
9. Tires
The tires are delivered in perfect condition.
Any damage resulting from impact or misuse remains the responsibility of the customer.
10. Fuel
Same to Same Policy:
The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level as when it was delivered.
11. Return of the vehicle
The vehicle must be returned:
on the scheduled date,
at the scheduled time,
at the agency or agreed location.
Any delay may result in additional charges.
12. Vehicle theft
Theft insurance only applies in the event of delivery:
keys
from the vehicle registration document,
vehicle documents
of the official flight declaration.
The deductible remains applicable.
13. Fines and offences
The tenant is fully responsible:
fines,
fines,
minutes,
traffic offences.
If AnasCars settles these amounts, the customer will have to reimburse them in full.
14. Animals
Pets are allowed provided the vehicle is kept clean.
Cleaning fees may apply.
15. No smoking
Smoking is strictly prohibited inside vehicles.
Specialized cleaning fees will be charged in case of non-compliance.
16. Protection of personal data
The information collected is used solely for the management of reservations and in accordance with Moroccan law 09-08 relating to the protection of personal data.
No data will be sold or disclosed to third parties without authorization.
17. Cancellation Policy
Free cancellation up to 48 hours before pickup.
After this period, fees may apply.

No, the check is not mandatory, however, it is necessary to be able to cover the deductible costs imposed by insurance companies in the event of an accident for which you are responsible.
What is your fuel policy?
Most vehicles are rented with a full fuel policy, meaning you must return the car with a full tank of fuel.
Is an international driving permit (IDP) required to rent a car in Morocco?
No, an international driving permit is not mandatory. You can rent a car with a driving license written in the Roman alphabet. However, if your license is written in another script, an international driving permit is recommended.
What type of fuel is commonly used in Morocco and how much does it cost?
In Morocco, gasoline (unleaded) and diesel are widely available. Prices vary, but when I last updated my knowledge in September 2023, the average price was around 10 to 14.60 Moroccan dirhams per liter for gasoline. Keep in mind that fuel prices fluctuate.
Do I have to pay tolls on Moroccan highways?
Yes, there are tolls on some Moroccan highways. They are relatively inexpensive and can be paid in cash (Moroccan dirhams).
Can I rent a car in one city and return it in another?
Yes, many rental companies in Morocco offer the option of picking up a car in one location and dropping it off in another. However, this service usually comes with an additional charge known as a "one-way fee".
What documents do I need to rent a car?
You will need a valid driver's license, a credit card in the name of the main driver, and a passport or national identity card.

If you require a baby seat, an additional driver, or other accessories, please remember to reserve them before your arrival.
Regarding fuel, the vehicle must be returned with the same level as at delivery (Same to Same policy).
Prepare your documents
On the day you pick up the vehicle, you will need to present:
A valid driver's license
A valid identity card or passport
A valid bank card for the security deposit (if required)
Read your rental agreement carefully
Before signing, check the rental conditions, insurance, deductible, payment terms and tenant obligations.
All drivers must be declared on the contract and possess a valid license.
Check the condition of the vehicle
Upon delivery, AnasCars carries out a complete condition report with photographs.
We also advise you to check:
the bodywork,
the tires,
the equipment,
the presence of the spare tire,
the accessories provided.
Respect the rental hours
The rental period is calculated on a 24-hour basis.
Any significant delay may result in an additional day's charge.
Any extension must be validated beforehand by AnasCars.
Return the vehicle in good condition
The vehicle must be returned to an AnasCars agency during opening hours or by appointment depending on availability.
The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level and in the same condition as when it was delivered.
Circulation only in Morocco
AnasCars vehicles are exclusively authorized to circulate within the territory of the Kingdom of Morocco.
Leaving Moroccan territory is strictly prohibited without prior written authorization.
